Virginia Native and Author Launches 2012 Black History Month Message of Inspiration for the Roadways of Life speaking on Black Women in American Culture and History
In the telling of "Navigating Life's Roadways" Deborah L. Parker, a motivational speaker from Waverly Virginia, shares her storied travelogue in a book filled with "Insight from My Odyssey and Inspiration for Your Journey".

LEESBURG, VA, January 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Full of local black history and culture, the triumphs and setbacks of faith, career, family, health, fun and relationships are creatively presented in Deborah's narratives as she reveals the many twisting paths and roads of her journey. She clearly speaks to the 2012 Black History Month theme: Black Women in American Culture and History.
Deborah takes us beyond her single parent family, rural, civil rights era upbringing—weaving together her road map of pursuits as a graduate of a prestigious college, an army officer, corporate manager and entrepreneur while bringing in her personal downfalls along the way, with a metaphorical poignancy that provides a moving message and appreciation for how our own bumpy roads often lead to unexpected, and richly rewarding destinations. She credits the determination and wisdom of her mother and grandmother as beacons to direct her, having provided a strong cultural foundation.
