Potomac Family Dining Group Acquires Stafford Applebee's
The Potomac Family Dining Group has acquired its 30th Applebee's restaurant in the Washington, D.C. area, located at 1000 Stafford Market Place, Stafford, Va., from DineEquity, Inc., the parent company of Applebee's and IHOP restaurants.

BETHESDA, MD, August 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Potomac Family Dining Group announced today that it has acquired its 30th Applebee's restaurant in the Washington, D.C. area, located at 1000 Stafford Market Place, Stafford, Va., from DineEquity, Inc., the parent company of Applebee's and IHOP restaurants.

The two companies entered into an asset purchase agreement in 2010 for 30 restaurants in southern Maryland, northern Virginia and parts of West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Transactions for 29 restaurants closed in the first quarter of 2011 and the Stafford restaurant represents the final location.

The sale is part of DineEquity's refranchising strategy for its company-owned Applebee's restaurants.
