JES Grows Staff with New Hires
JES, an engineering solutions company specializing in foundation repair, waterproofing and crawlspace moisture control, has hired new team members to better serve their clientele in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northeastern North Carolina.

JES introduces Dave Stinnette, P.E. as Director of Engineering, Robert Tietjen as General Sales Manager, Timothy Barrett as Quality Assurance Coordinator, Brian Cortez as Videographer, John Wiltgen as Web Developer, and Corey Portalatin-Berrien as Internet Content Manager.
Dave Stinnette comes to JES from Balzer and Associates in Richmond, Virginia where he served as Vice President and head of the geotechnical engineering department. A graduate of Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. in civil engineering, he is also a licensed professional engineer in the state of Virginia. His 22 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction testing will greatly benefit JES in his new role as Director of Engineering where he will be responsible for business development and engineering support on projects. He will also focus on conducting and developing professional continuing education seminars on foundation structural support systems for engineers and architects.
A highly experienced sales and business leader, Robert Tietjen is responsible for recruiting, hiring and training JES' team of certified inspectors throughout all of JES' regions of operations. Throughout his career, Tietjen built and sold two multi-million dollar professional sales companies and developed successful sales teams for the Home Depot, Owens Corning and Sears.
Timothy Barrett holds a JD from Regent University of Law and a BSME from Virginia Tech's College of Engineering. His technical and legal expertise combined with his skills in increasing operational efficiencies while reducing costs for companies such as Volvo-GM and Craft Machine Works will be an asset in his role of quality assurance at JES.
Brian Cortez comes to JES from Rent.com where he produced videos. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a major in art and minor in communications. He also served as an officer in the Unites States Air Force for seven years. At JES, he will be producing training and marketing videos.
John Wiltgen brings over 10 years of experience in website development, graphic design and SEO/SEM to JES' internet department. Corey Portalatin-Berrien also joins the internet department after having worked in communications and marketing for the Hope House Foundation and P.E.T.A. She also has a degree in advertising management from Michigan State University. Wiltgen and Portalatin-Berrien are redesigning the jeswork.com website with the goal of improving the customer experience and positioning JES as the industry leader in Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland and North Carolina.
