An Education & Empowerment Movement to Combat Girl Fights, Bullying and Retaliation
CHANTILLY, VA, April 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Author, Filmmaker and Activist, Yasmin Shiraz has launched Can She Be Saved.com to address the community need to have workable tools in the prevention of girl fights, bullying and retaliation. The site was named after her award winning film, Can She Be Saved? --a documentary featuring aggressive 8th grade girls who were always getting into fights at their middle school. Currently, Can She Be Saved? is screened at middle and high schools assemblies and comes with a study guide for schools who purchase the academic edition.
Yasmin Shiraz's debut film, Can She Be Saved? which documents teen girl fights was an official selection at 15 film festivals and won 4 Awards, including Best First Film at the International Youth Film Festival. About Yasmin Shiraz
Yasmin Shiraz is a best selling and award winning author of six books, including Retaliation: A Novel which was a 2009 Top Ten Quick Pick for Reluctant Readers by the American Library Association as well as the critically acclaimed, The Blueprint for My Girls.
