Academy Group Partners With Cal U in E-Learning Program
AGI practitioners offer behavioral courses based on investigative experience.
MANASSAS, VA, May 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Academy Group, Inc. (AGI) is proud to announce the launch of unique e-learning training courses in criminal behavioral sciences in cooperation with the Institute of Criminological and Forensic Sciences of California University of Pennsylvania (Cal U).
AGI practitioners, who were Supervisory Special Agents and pioneered FBI criminal profiling, offer a range of courses based on investigative experience gained from their years in the famed Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI National Academy and the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime at Quantico, Virginia.
Instructors Roy Hazelwood, Dr. Roger Depue, Jim Fitzgerald, Mike Napier, and Pete Smerick are internationally-recognized experts in their respective fields and have taught and lectured around the US and the world. The programs cover a wide array of behavioral topics including forensic linguistics, sexual assault investigation, interview and interrogation techniques, etc.
Other AGI instructors and courses will be added in the coming months.
California University is one of the foremost proprietors of e-learning and was ranked second in the nation in a survey conducted by SR Education Group, an educational resource provider in Kirkland, Washington. The study ranked schools based on accreditation, tuition cost, graduation rate, and other factors.
Cal U will provide certificates of completion for each AGI module taken. Participants who are interested in taking academic courses at Cal U may be eligible for "prior learning" credit. Additionally, these courses may meet the requirements of continuing education in various jurisdictions.
