"The plus-size community makes up over 60% of the population but we're treated like the invisible people." I became more aware of this as I saw big-box companies ceasing production of plus-size clothing. It didn't make business sense to cut out the true majority. I knew it was because they really didn't take the time to get to know us or market to us as a plus-size community. That 'build and they will come' mentally doesn't work with us. I also noticed that the entrepreneurs within the plus-size community were leaving a lot of money on the table; there is more to us than fashion. Kimmoy also noted the plus-size entrepreneurs didn't have many business role models speaking to their business needs directly.

Now is the time for plus-size entrepreneurs to start businesses.
