The National Association of Professional Organizers - Washington, DC Metro Chapter Announces Their Participation in NAPO in the Schools
The National Association of Professional Organizers Washington, DC Metro Chapter (NAPO-WDC) announces its participation in NAPO in the Schools a program for Elementary School students in public and private elementary schools in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

/Virginia News Articles/ - WASHINGTON, DC, August 07, 2008 - NAPO in the Schools is a community outreach program that brings professional organizers into the schools. The 45 minute elementary school program is a completely interactive classroom presentation where professional organizers teach students the benefits of being organized with the fictional characters Drake and Hazel. This hands-on organizing exercise helps students learn the first steps of the organizing process: sorting and purging, at a time when organizing habits are learned and formed. The organizers presenting the program have completed a training course and supply all of the materials for the students. Currently the program is available for elementary schools. Middle school and high school programs are currently in development, with plans to be launched by Fall 2008 and Fall 2009, respectively.

NAPO, celebrating 23 years as the Organizing Authority, is the premier national association dedicated to the field of organizing. With more than 4,000 members, NAPO's purpose is to share information about this growing industry and to define quality standards for the organizing profession.

NAPO-WDC is one of the larger chapters of NAPO, with 140 active members. The Washington, DC Metro Chapter was chartered in 1994 to serve the Washington, DC metropolitan area including Maryland and Virginia.
